Partly Freed for KED, Five Years After Sale

The Ministry of Economic Development has made public the contract with investor “Limak-Calick”, five years from the sale of the distribution company and electricity supply (KEDS). The paper has tried to take position by Economic Development Minister Valdrin Luka, but has not responded to the newspaper's calls. While civil society has criticised the ministry's failure to publish full, saying there cannot be partial publishing of the contracts.
For the Organization I NDEPs, contracts containing provisions that do not allow their publication are against public interest and, as such, are also being confirmed by the courts.
Dardan Abazi of this organization has told the newspaper that millions and billions of contracts must be published especially before the signing. This, in his view, could avoid harmful agreements. Such has been considered the distribution and thermal power plant “New Kosovo”.
