British scientists at Batu and Nottingham University studied 49 adults, 20 of whom were overweight and 29 normal weights. The task was to have breakfast every day at 11 or at least 12.
Scientists measured blood sugar and the secreting of insulin after breakfast. In fact, without the secreting of insulin, there is no possibility of saving sugar from blood to fat tissue, and the results showed that overcoming the morning meal hinders the process.
If the sugar level is approximately constant, the body will have sufficient energy for normal functioning, and breakfast is the main meal that will give the body the level of sugar needed to perform all tasks. Overcoming breakfast also poses a risk for lunch or dinner, as the body will ask for compensation.
The regular breakfast protects against acumulation of fats and plaques in arteries and the development of cholera, while it also helps to reduce weight loss and improve concentration and memory.
The metabolic syndrome is a medical term for combining diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity, which could cause increased risk of heart disease and stroke, Kosovo Press broadcasts.
Young people who ignore breakfast have 68 percent more risk of suffering from a metabolic syndrome. Researchers also considered a number of socioeconomic factors and other teenage lifestyles, but concluded that breakfast was the strongest indicator. /Kosovo pres/
