Signals for withdrawing signatures for abolishing Laws for the Special Court could take place very soon by its initiator, the Democratic Party of Kosovo. However, the same will not work as the coalition partner, the Initiative for Kosovo.
The MP for this subject, Haxhi Shala, says they do not intend to do so, as, according to him, the Initiative has been against Special from the beginning.
“We have already done nothing about what we said before, at the time of the formation of this court and are on our lines as the Initiative for Kosovo, and every time we have been since its establishment, against it, even now we are against it, regardless of who might remove the signatures, we still have the attitudes we have had at the founding of the Special Tribunal, Shala said.
He has indicated that within their party it is not discussed withdrawing signatures, but only about giving them up.
“We have not discussed attracting signatures. All we've done was give the signatures, not their withdrawal, because we haven't done anything more than what we said on the foundation of it”, Shala said.
We remember that on December 22nd 43 signatures were collected by the ruling coalition for abolishing this court, which prompted major reactions by internationals.
