Minister Hoxha: Recak's massacre prompted democratic world response

Minister of European Integration, Gift Hoxha, on the occasion of the 19th anniversary of Recak's Massacre, has recalled the fall of one of the most terrible massacres that took place during the recent war in Kosovo, and has said this event has made the world rise and react.

According to her, this event shows the true face of Slobodan Milosevic's criminal regime.

Today, on the 19th anniversary of Recak's Massacre, we do well to remember the martyrs of freedom. This serious event sparked the response of the democratic world, marking as the day of horror and testimony to the true face of the criminal regime.

Here, a big twist occurred, following the continued efforts of our people for freedom, the dedication of the Kosovo Liberation Army and the great human pain like this one in Recak. The international factor became unique that our only course was liberation.

Institutions, all together, in close partnership with our allies, every day of devotion will live our freedom, becoming part of Euro-Atlantic values, a factor of peace and understanding, not forgetting our yesterday.
