Macedonia's name agreement has finally been reached following consecutive dialogue between the two governments, the Greek and the one at Furom.
Greek media write that following the closure of the agreements Macedonia's new name will be the gorna Makedonija Republic, which means the Republic of Upper Macedonia.
Earlier, it also became known a four-point pact.
The name proposal, iredentism, regional relations and positive agenda measures are the four points in the project agreement Greece will hand over to Macedonia in mid-February. According to Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kocijas, the agreement, which is initially being compiled, will be handed over to the Greek government and then to Skopje.
If official Skopje accepts this project, then the pact will go for approval to the Greek Parliament. For this, Kocijas said UN mediator of the name Metju Nimic has also been announced during his stay in Athens, but also official Skopje.

The UN name mediator, Matthew Niqim, during his stay in Greece, has said that now is the right time for the parties to make decisions regarding the name solution. Nimicka added that the Greek government is very sincere and energetic in terms of finding the name problem with their neighbour. He said both sides have also offered his ideas about resolving the dispute, but refused to disclose the same.
