The Komunal Assembly of Rahovec at the meeting held today has not chosen the leader of the Rahovec municipality's Assembly, due to the lack of quorum in the second round of voting.
In the race for the country's chairmanship position were Sali Saltek from the PDK, Africa Dina from the AAK and Fehmi Cena from the LDK.
According to a municipality communique, after voting hiding in the first round, out of 10 votes have received Sali Saltek PDK and Africa Dina AAK, while Fehmi Cena of LDK received 7 votes. Although attending meetings, conventioners from LV have not attended the vote.
“When voting was expected for the second round, where there were two candidates who received the most votes in the first round -- Sali Salltek and Africa Dina -- PDK and LDK assembly members were not present at the hall. In the absence of quorum, collection leader Rexhep Oruqi confirmed the meeting's closure. Under the law on local self-government and administrative instruction No 2009/01 for the selection procedure and responsibilities of the head of the Communist Assembly, the election of the mayor of the Assembly of the municipality is done the most distant 30 days after the constitution's framework”, the communique said.
The Constitution of the Rahovec Community Assembly was made on December 22, 2017.
The Rahovec Community Assembly has 31 members and consists of eight political subjects. The PDK has nine members, AAK 7 members, LDK 7 members, LV 4 members, AKR 1 members, 1 member Initiative, Civic Initiative for Justice and Unity 1 member and Serbian List 1 member.
