Kurti: Attempting to abolish specials aims to remove Thaci's name from the list of indictees

The Special Court and the tendency to abolish it were the topic discussed at the “specialised chamber table and the report with Kosovo institutions”, organised by the Vetevendosje Movement.

Albulen Haxhiu said the speciality is the political court aiming to distort the KLA's freedom struggle, but the tendency to abolish it is unfair.

On December 22, 2017, a group of MPs demanded abolition of the law. Vetevendosje has also had a clear attitude toward this tendency. We've considered it a serious initiative. Sneaky and not serious. Those MPs represented the interests of individuals, so we have not backed the bill, which was already prosecuted in government”, she said.

Glauk Konjufca said that the privacy was founded by Atifete Jahjaga's letters, and if President Hashim Thaci is for its abolition, then should show.

The key priorities that are launching the abolition of the Special Court are Thaci, Veselin and Haradinaj. If specialised rooms are founded by Jahjaga's letters, Hashim Thaci must be positioned. If Thaci wants the court to be broken, he has to show what he thinks of Jahjaga's letters. If Thaci thinks the rooms are not fair, he should write Mogherin's letter and say he doesn't stand behind Jahjaga's letters and distance himself. As long as Jahjaga's letter exists, then Hashim Thaci must deploy”, he said.

Vetevendosje Movement Chairman Albin Curit said the initiative to abolish speciality is aimed at removing Hashim Thaci's name from the list of indictees.

I know a lot of people are tired. Let's say this court takes away our corrupt rulers, organized crime politicians. We cannot get rid of them with initiatives coming from Serbia and Russia. Other peoples have thrown down and removed corrupt people and criminals. In Kosovo many of them politicians must be charged as criminals of peace, what they have done to our people, not as war criminals. Thaci must prove that he is not continuing his shopping and resigning. To prove that he has repented, he must resign, and the main problem with the initiative to abolish is a lack of sincerity and seriousness for the abolition. He doesn't mean it, and he's not serious about this initiative at all, because he's in without preparation. I am convinced that this Sė initiative aims to remove the Special Court, but its name from Special Court”, he said.
