Visar Ymer Resign
I regret to hear the news of Mr. Visar Ymer, chairman of the Vetevendosje Movement, through public communication, from leadership positions in Movement V. I'm sorry. For this resignation we received an email an hour before the press conference, as far as I know, such a decision on his part has not been discussed in advance within any body of Movement, and neither did I know before, even though I exercise the office of the Secretary of Organization.
It is true that together, like the Movement, we have achieved the successes that Mr. Ymer, and that's why I'm grateful, just like all the activists of the Vetevendosje Movement. But I cannot agree with the way Visari has chosen, the Movement has documents (Stitut) and structures that always offer the way out.
Despite Visar's resignation from the mayor's position, I am convinced that the Movement will overcome this situation with maturity, taking into account the fact that the country is in serious political trouble, and that the people are in poverty and a serious economic situation. That's why citizens expect a lot of us. The movement will continue to address open discussions within the decision-making bodies all that is in its competencies, according to the principles of internal democracy.
But more than that, it is time to continue our joint political and historical efforts with energy and will for social progress and national liberation.
Ishmael Kurteshi, 02. 01. 2018
