Krasniqi: LDK is lying, demanded in Strasbourg that Kosovo be severely punished for the Special Removal Initiative

PDK Parliamentary Group chief Memli Krasniqi has said the Democratic League of Kosovo has lied when he said reports between the European Parliament and Kosovo are being damaged due to the Special Court.

He has said that the Kosovo delegation has been asked to take a stand on the issue of abolishing the Special Court, but Krasniqi has added that this delegation, composed of Kosovo Assembly deputies, has not had the mandate to do so.

He accused The LDK is saying false statements on this matter.

“The LDK has issued a far more untrue statement. All the rest of us, position and opposition, have abstained as far as this proposal is concerned, Krasniqi said.

“We have proposed a milder-language administration, which was a middle language, to reconfirm the commitment of all leaders even to specialised rooms, but not to mention other details proposed by a eurodeputs supported by the LDK and the Serbian List. Then there were those deputies who had compliance at all points but did not want to approve such a”, Krasniqi said.

Blaming the LDK for lies, Krasniqi has said no one has the right to say that reports with the European Commission have been damaged.

Earlier, the Democratic League of Kosovo, through a communique for the media, has said that “has failed to adopt common conflicts between the European Parliament and the Kosovo Assembly, after MPs of the ruling coalition rejected a paragraph proposed by MEPs, which called on political leaders in Kosovo to continue to support the functioning of the special court in line with the legislation at”.

So said in an LDK communiqué, where Kosovo Parliament deputies Vjosa Osmani, Amend Zemaj and Arben Gashi reportedly represented the Democratic League of Kosovo at the IV joint meeting of the SAA Commission along with MSA deputies.

According to the communiqué, while the LDK deputies and all European deputies voted for it, it was MPs from the ruling coalition who strongly opposed this part of the consensus, which resulted in the overall failure in their adoption process.

The meeting was held in Strasbourg, and LDK deputies over two days presented the LDK's stance regarding the implementation of the SAA, which is Kosovo's largest achievement on the European road as the first contractual agreement between Kosovo and the EU that has been signed during government rule Mustafa.

Among the outstanding topics of the meeting was the initiative to abolish the Law for Specialised Chambers by which LDK MPs reconfirmed the position that the LDK will continue to reject any ideas aimed at undermining the country's sovereignty and partnership with the friendly states.

According to an LDK communique, MPs also discussed rule of law, Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, crimes committed by Serbia to Kosovo and other topics related to recent developments in Kosovo.

The “unfortunately, due to the completely irresponsible approach of MPs to the ruling coalition, failed to adopt common conflicts between the European Parliament and the Kosovo Assembly. That was because MPs from the ruling coalition rejected a paragraph proposed by MEPs, who called on political leaders in Kosovo to continue to support the functioning of the special court in accordance with the legislation in force. While the LDK deputies and all European deputies voted for it, it was the deputies of the ruling coalition who declassified this part of the conflicts, which resulted in the overall failure in their adoption process. This was an unprecedented move, because at none of the preliminary meetings, the Kosovo Assembly and the European Parliament have failed to reach reconciliation. The European Parliament is the only institution within the European Union that has always called for recognition of Kosovo's independence and has supported Kosovo with a set of programmes. The LDK deems the action harmful and unacceptable to the deputies of the ruling coalition, because it results in damage to reports between the Kosovo Assembly and the European Parliament and presents Kosovo as a country that opposes the principles of rule of law”, the communiqué says.
