Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has gathered the Kosovo Security Council today, based on constitutional and legal responsibilities and obligations, to discuss the current security situation in the country, the prime ministerial statement reports.
The KSF, with representation of institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, security and justice bodies, has praised the situation in the country, with special emphasis on recent developments in northern Mitrovica, following Serbian politician Oliver Ivanovic's act of murder.
Kosovo's Security Council emphasises that security and prosecution authorities are conducting intensive investigations in the case of Oliver Ivanovic's murder and are investigating all possible leads. Order organs have asked all citizens, indiscriminately, to offer their help and co-operation in discovering the speediest capture of the leaders of this criminal act and bringing them to justice.
KSK estimates that in the event of assistance and expertise in lighting the case, professional assistance can be sought by specialised international agencies, in particular by the US FBI.
In the end, the Kosovo Security Council estimates that the security situation in the country is calm and stable and that law bodies are responsiblely carrying out their duties in maintaining public calm and security for all citizens of the country.
