This new move has been confirmed by the Vetevendosje Movement. Albin Kurti has told them that the abolition of the Special will occur through a government-sponsored bill.
Ramush Haradinaj has remained in charge of the initiative to abolish the Special Court.
The prime minister expected to initiate the special abolition procedure through a bill. Albin Kurti of Glauk Konjufca has made it known. This two have met on Friday evening the two British and French ambassadors, who have been told that the Special will be abolished through the Government.
“Kurti, Mulhrama-Kollcak and Konjufca reiterated the V Movement stance ENVIRONMENT, on the injustice and damage the Special Court causes, but also on the lack of seriousness and sincerity of this initiative. However, the initiative has now changed form and speed, since it will come as the government's draft law, and no longer as the parliamentary initiative in the Parliament”, Vetevendosje's announcement said.
Meanwhile, Government official Halil Matoshi has said he does not believe this is true.
“I don't think so. Since I don't believe it's true”, Matosh said.
The Special Court, founded in 2015 with the Parliament's decision, was scheduled to be abolished late last year through an initiative of power deputies. He had failed to pass to the Head of the Assembly in absence of quorum.
The ambassadors of the US and EU countries had reacted, saying such an initiative destroyed Kosovo's reports with the international community.
Following that initiative were Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini of Ramush Haradinaj.
Express sources have indicated that Vetevendosje has agreed to vote for special abolition if the initiative goes through the government.
The deal took place at a meeting two days ago Glauk Konjufca with Bilal Sheriff Ahmet Isuffin and Memli Krasniqi.
