EU to begin enlargement, Kosovo, other Balkan states are set to be part of Union

Brussels is moving ahead with its plans to expand the European Union empire by setting deadlines for obtaining several Balkan states, writes today the renowned British newspaper”Express”.

The European Union's” Offices have set 2025 as the deadline for starting the process, including Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Kosovo to join the union. It has also launched diplomatic efforts to speed up the process, after years of delay”, the paper writes.

” The Eurocommissioner for Enlargement, Johannes Hahn, says this decision comes after Russian revival, the migraine crisis, the Turkish authoritarian regime, as well as the desire to promote European integration after the British vote on Brex. A special Balkan summit will be organised in Sofia in May. Another summit will take place in July in Great Britain.
