Interstate relations between Turkey and the United States have dropped markedly since the American State Department's statement of building a border with the presence of 30,000 Kurdish militia members, reports the “Hurriyet Daily News”, Periscopi broadcast.
Ankara, the Kurdish People's Protection Unit (YPG), considers the military arm of the Democratic Union Party to be the branch of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which have been fighting in southeast Turkey since 1984.
