EP rapporteur gives good news to Kosovars over visas

The rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament, Igor ndodhëoltes, in an interview for Indexline, has said that Kosovo's citizens are the only ones in the region who remain isolated because of the visa regime. He says they are working to get visas removed and free movement accomplished in [...]

He says he is working to get visas removed as soon as the visas are removed and free movement is realised in the Schengen area for Kosovars.

I hope and support the idea of lifting visas for Kosovo as soon as possible. But at this point, it is on Kosovo's side to achieve the requirements set by the EU, which have also been reconciled and signed by Kosovo leaders in the past. I hope that the solution will be found soon for the sake of Kosovo citizens, because it is necessary. )

'%oltes has reiterated the position of the EU, that before signing for free movement is reached, the Government of Kosovo must find consensus in parliament to achieve ratification of border demarcation with Montenegro, as well as show results in the fight against corruption.

He also in this interview has explained that the Kosovo government should begin to stabilise the socio-economic aspect, primarily to improve living standards.
