During this visit, Rama has met with different personalities, including with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq, Serbian media report.
Asked by the media whether Rama expects Serbia and Albania to join together, or whether Serbia will become a member before Albania, Rama said it was a process based on merit.
But the Albanian prime minister's statement, after the end of a meeting with the Serbian president, has sparked reactions in Serbia.
Rama's proposal that Albania and Serbia can join the EU when Serbia accepts Kosovo has led Serbian media to call it “provocation” this statement by the Albanian prime minister.
When we talk about Serbia, it has the advantage of negotiations with the EU and we expect to start accession negotiations this year. We and Serbia can join the EU if Serbia recognises Kosovo”, Rama has said in Davos.
“Right after meeting with Vucic, Rama provokes Serbia”, writes Serbian media Alo.rs.
