Today we can say “Uname Birthday” to man with one of the most wonderful minds of his generation; Stephen William Hawking.
The scientist of theoretical physics, cosmologist, and author is known as one of the greatest scientists of the time, and his work has influenced the teachings of general relativity and quantum mechanics.
Since 1963, Hawking has been suffering from a neurologic disease known as “sclerosis amiotrophic”, or ALS February.
When she was diagnosed, doctors had given her only two years of life, broadcast the Express. The disease kills most of its victims within five years, but it has overcome doctors ' predictions and has continued to survive for over 50 years.
In 1985 his then wife had refused doctors who wanted to take her out of the car for life when he was hit by pneumonia.
Hawking at the time was involved in intentional conversation with drugs at a hospital in Geneva. In the 2013 documentary Hawking said:
The doctors thought I wouldn't live and told Jane to stop the car. They refused to stop him. She insisted that I go back to Cambridge. The following weeks of intensive care were the darkest of my life”.
The disease left him unable to speak and in need of constant care, but it has not prevented him from continuing his work in science.
In 1988 he published a book entitled “A Short History of the Time”, which has been sold in 10 million copies worldwide and continues to give talks and lectures worldwide.
