Divorce in Albania, one in four pairs split

At 100 marriages, 24.7 end in divorce.

That is a much higher figure than that of neighbouring countries in the region, but is at the same level as that of EU countries.

Statistics also show that the number of divorces has not only increased, but the number of marriages has declined, reaching another European standard.

Albania does not reach European standards in terms of living standards, health care rates or education rates, but in terms of divorce standards, Albanians have reached the levels of developed European countries.
