Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri has said he cannot comment on the Anti-Corruption Agency's decision to raise wages.
But if that decision was abolished, he would feel pity for the professionals of the justice system who, according to him, deserve a dignified salary.
Minister Tahiri has also commented that Minister Bedri Hamza will not support the prime minister's decision to raise salaries.
However, at this moment a reality of judicial nature has been created, where the Anti-Corruption Agency has given an opinion on the way the decision to raise salaries is made, what Minister Hamza is obliged to expect final legal assessments due to this case, so that implementation of the decision on wage increases is not coupled with unclear opinion”, Tahiri has said.
The Ministry of Justice's first one has said it is not about the opposing positions of two party members, and much less is not about opposing positions of two dictatorships that he and Hamza lead.
“Minister Hamza, as responsible for financial policy, has repeatedly supported the rule of law sector and, as a result of the joint engagement, the budget has been increased for the Judiciary Council and the Prosecutorial Council for 2018”, Tahiri stressed.
Abelard Tahiri has added further than he and Minister Bedri Hamza have voted to support the prime minister's proposal for salary increases.
The “in reference whose salaries of judges and prosecutors have increased, for which I have been highly motivated because I really consider that rule of law should be a priority of this government and, in this context, a dignified salary of law enforcement bodies such as prosecutors and judges, would stimulate greater devotion on their part”, Tahiri concluded.
The prime minister's legal office has issued some legal findings regarding the opinion of the Anti-Corruption Agency, which said yesterday that the prime minister's decision to raise salaries is illegal.
In the media communiqué, ZKM listed 19 legal office reasonings, where AAK's opinion calls “incorrect” and “non-professional”.
