The representative of the group of excellent students (burssists), Drilon Berisha, has been addressed through an open letter to the country's prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj, due to the UP's Steering Council's decision to cut the scholarship to 500 euros for excellent students.
Full letter:
Open letter to Kosovo Prime Minister.
Your Honor, Prime Minister,
The University of Pristina Steering Council “hasan Pristina” with the date 21. Twelve. 2017, has made a decision to lower the scholarship to 500 euros for excellent students. This decision became a reason to write you this letter.
For your information last year, the stock market's value for a year at the level of '%Bachelor was 600 euros. This year the Steering Council made a decision to lower the scholarship to 500 euros.
We would be proud if these “cursims” were transferred for solidarity or any investment in the interest of the majority and, at the same time, “cursims of” to happen everywhere. But neither did this. That makes us feel bad.
Your Honor. Prime Minister, along with studies during 2017, we have followed all developments in Kosovo. Naturally, the good news makes us happy like all other citizens and gives us enthusiasm for research work and the opposite, bad news makes us depressed.
Fortunately, in the last few months of 2017, it was mostly good news. Most of the economic indicators were positive, thanks to your commitment.
We are aware that you are engaged in economic development, the welfare of all citizens, for a better life, for a safer place, for a country with a future for all. We consider us to be the future of this country, invest in us, don't let us down and don't let us down. We're able to do more for this country.
Finally, we wouldn't want to in the future, we would remember you dropping scholarships for brilliant students and at the same time raising salaries.
With respect,
Drilon I. Berisha
Representatives of the great group of students!
