Arben Berisha, director of Defence and Environment in Obilic, has spoken about the institutional inability to intervene in the Kosovo Energy Corporation.
On the “Life show in Kosovo”, Berisha showed what happened to him and some Obilic Community officials when they tried to establish and stop a pollution being done by this corporation.
Before, when I set up a case of downloading religions that we found, directly to the ground, we're not allowed to enter KEK for six months. KEK is a state of state. It's not easy to get in there and fix things for reasons I know and we all know, but I know I'm close by”, Berisha said.
He also said he hopes that in the new government there will be greater support in dealing with irresponsible KEK” management.
He made that statement as the panelist at the sixth conference of the Kosovar consortium of the Sustainable Civil Development Society (KOSID), which is being broadcast on the NGO life in Kosovo.
This show, dedicated this week to the protection of public health, include scientists, civil society members, and representatives of institutions responsible for this field.
