Following visits they had to the country's president yesterday, Hashim Thaci and Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, EU special envoy, have continued visits to Kosovo today, meeting with representatives of the Democratic League of Kosovo Parliamentary Group.
The Parliamentary Group of the Democratic League of Kosovo President Avdullah Hoti along with deputies Armendi Zemaj and Lumir Abdixhiku hosted today the delegation consisting of the special envoy for Southeast Europe, Turkey and the EFTA states at the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Christian Hellbach and the Chief of the Western Balkan Department of Foreign and European Affairs, Thomas Bert, as well as two ambassadors of Germany and France Christian Held and Mr. Didier Chambert.
The meeting is said to have discussed the political situation in Kosovo, with particular emphasis, for the initiative to abolish the Law for Specialised Chambers and the specialised Prosecutor's Office. The two emissaries expressed the deep concern of Berlin and Paris about this possibility.
In this case Hoti is said to have named the tendency for abolishing the Law for Specialised Chambers and the specialised Prosecutor's Office undermines Kosovo's international subjectivity and its path towards Euro-Atlantic structures. He later assured the emissaries that the Democratic League of Kosovo sees vital for the country's preservation of reports and friendship with Germany and France and other EU countries, the US, NATO and other friendly countries. Consequently, the Democratic League of Kosovo will in no case be part of reckless actions and will not allow the fate of our citizens and our country to be put on a unclear path.
In addition, at the meeting was discussed on other topics, such as the necessity of continuing reforms in the area of rule of law, democracy and good governance, which are essential for bringing Kosovo closer to the European Union, the media community says.
