They have sufficed only a few metres of movement, being unaccomplished to Greek mafia boss Vassilis Stephanakos for the bombers to fulfill their mission yesterday evening in the Haidari neighbourhood of Athens.
Greek media report that Stephanos was always accompanied by his men, but on the night of last night, he was outside the house, which cost him his life because the guards were several meters behind him, unable to stop the assassination, Albeu.com reports.
The killers approached him on an engine that was stolen in December last year in Athens, emptying a Kalashnikov cartoon on his car.
Murder
Stéphacos came out of his house approaching the car White BMW, which waited a few meters away. Greek police suspect the bombers were given signal that the victim had rarely moved without its bodyguards. They've approached the victim with a big engine and pulled the tinanikov gun out of a guitar holder shooting the entire mag, writes Albeu.com.
His death was confirmed only 10 minutes later, at 7:10 p.m., while the killers disappeared in darkness and confusion.
Police have found 26 shellings at the scene. The way the crime scene developed shows that the killers were determined to get rid of Stefanako on the first opportunity.
Stephanakos was charged with a series of crimes in Greece, while he was also known as the person who had financed Alket Rizai's spectacular escapes from Greece's prisons.
He was released just a year ago from prison after being sentenced to more than 21 years for murder and other serious crimes.
