Air pollution has reached disturbing proportions with temperature reductions when it comes to the need for citizens to find alternatives to heating their residential spaces, writes Periscope.
So far nothing has been done by institutions to improve the serious situation, even though the same situation with polluted air was last winter.
While there has not been a process of verification, it is thought that the main air pollutors are businesses and families heated with coal during the winter season, writes Periscope.
A citizen had published on Facebook a video from the “Dagnia” in Pristina, where it was seen as from an chimney that says it was built from the time when Ismet Beqiri was head of the capital, smoking intensively black smoke in the air.
Fatmir Lama, on Facebook, had written that then government inspectors had allowed the construction and operation of this chimney to serve a furnace.
Lama complains to Pristina chairman Shpend Ahmeti that even his inspectors are allowing the same.
“A tip for Pristina chairman Shpend Ahmeti. Yesterday it was proven that Pristina is one of the most polluted countries in the world. I'm sending you this footage that I did yesterday in Dardania District “This chimney that smokes is built at the time of the reign of Ismet Beqiri. Me and the neighborhood residents have requested that there be no access to a wood oven in downtown Dardania in Pristina. Inspectors of the time allowed for the construction and operation of this wooded oven, which your inspectors are still doing. President Shpend Ahmeti” wrote Lama a few weeks ago on Facebook.
Otherwise, a protest against institutions has already been warned on Facebook about the situation created with contaminated air. Hundreds of people have confirmed their participation in this protest, due Wednesday. /Periscopi/
