Democratic Union for Integration Chairman Ali Ahmeti has met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, with whom he has discussed geopolitical, Russian role in the Western Balkans, reforms and the Ohrid Pacific Agreement.
Ahmeti has said NATO has had a crucial role in the country of the region and has saved Macedonia from the abyss by contributing to peace, security and stability, but also reforms and democratic institutions.
Ahmeti's complete comment:
Today I met NATO Secretary General Mr. Jens Stoltenberg and his associates from the Atlantic alliance.
I felt honored by Secretary General Stoltenberg's assessment of our role and contribution to all processes in the country.
I could not say that NATO had a crucial role in the country of the region and has saved Macedonia from the abyss by contributing to peace, security and stability, but also reforms and democratic institutions.
Our license is not complete without NATO. I present to the future generations I am giving thanks and appreciation to NATO.”
I assured Mr. Stoltenberg, who remains forever a sovereign partner of NATO, the US, the EU and that our efforts to line up in the north-Atlantic alliance will not stop because this is our national, strategic, ideological will.
Together we also discussed geopolitical, Russian role in the Western Balkans, reforms and the Ohrid Pacific Agreement.
Finally, I donated our friend to Skenderbe's helmet, honoring him on the occasion of the 550th anniversary of our chief hero.
