Serbian international law expert Tibor Varadi says international law since its establishment is more a goal than reality.
According to him, Kosovo except international law is divided from Serbia.
I personally think that partitioning Kosovo is contrary to international law, but I must say that in this area international practice is not enough legal practice. The result depends on the power relationship, the crime case, Catalonia, Kurdistan. More important, the relationship of power is more important than legal principles. To return to essence: at this time, Kosovo, apart from international law, is separated from Serbia. At the same time, the fact is that Kosovo is not part of Serbia's Qaeda. The argument we have to preserve Kosovo is such that we take it emotionally but it's hard to maintain something at this time when it's not in our possession”, has declared Varad for RTS
He has added that Kosovo is no longer part of Serbia, as the leadership, judiciary and legislative power no Serb.
“In the case of Oliver Ivanovi's murder, Serbia wanted our authorities to participate in the investigation. If Kosovo were part of Serbia, of course it would be the work of Serbian authorities. With justice or not Kosovo is not part of Serbia, this we should now know”, the academic has expressed itself.
Varad has stressed that Kosovo Serbs have the right to identity, language and culture, even though Kosovo is not part of Serbia.
There's no dilemma here, the argument to keep Kosovo safe. It seems to me that it's a little far from reality”, it's over.
