The UN issued a report saying 135 of its soldiers, policemen and civil officials have been killed on 15 peacekeeping missions since 2013.
Most of the victims have suffered in the mountains, the South Sudan, and the Central African Republic.
According to the report, increasing the number of victims concerns the fact that the UN flag no longer offers “natural protection”.
Peacekeeping environments now face armed groups, terrorists, organised crime, street gangs and other threats”, the report said. /Rel/
