About 30,000 people were evacuated from a central area of Ukraine after an ammunition depot, which had stored some 188 million tons of ammunition, was swept into flames overnight.
The cargo depot in Kalinovka, near Vinnytsia, was stored as missiles and other weapons, and the first images from the site showed a fiery mess over the area as a host of missiles flew into the dark night sky.
Two women from a village near the area were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds, while more than 1,000 firefighters and officers from the Ukrainian National Guard fought the fires.
It is still not known how the fire started, but local media claim it was a deliberate firefire and a carefully planned sabotage mission from Russia. Thousands of shells fired what was like an extraordinary hell, which was initially reported shortly after Tuesday's evening.
The warehouse is the largest in the country, and after the event, air space over the town of Vinitsa was closed. Massive evacuations occurred in surrounding villages, with reports of over 30,000 people leaving their homes.
A journalist and editor-in-chief of “Censor.net” claimed it was intentional fireship and pointed to Russia, saying that “was a birthday gift from Vladimir Putin to rival counterpart Petro Porosenko, who turned 52 on Tuesday”.
