Thaci says Kosovo does not belong to mix in foreign elections, but he himself has turned against Trump

President Hashim Thaci, in interview for RTK has said it is no business for Kosovo to intervene in the upcoming elections in Germany.

But it was himself who had expressed open sympathy for US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton during the US presidential elections, while not favouring Donald Trump.

I don't get involved, nor do we have that opportunity, to get involved in US elections, but Albanians enjoy the election of Hillary Clinton President of the United States. That's why I feel good that Albanians are in favor of Clinton. Because someone is presenting progress, someone for the future”, the president had said in an interview for Klan Kosovo at a time when everyone was almost certain Clinton would prevail in this election.

Thaci said that “is not ours to intensify in any circumstances in these elections, but I should thank Chancellor Merkel and the German people for the great help they have given to the people and the state of Kosovo in the most difficult situations”, Thaci said.

Chancellor Merkel, according to him, has shown humanity, leadership and her vision, not only for Germany, but even wider, as a global visionary politician. Therefore, both today and tomorrow eternally, Albanians where they live, in Kosovo, will be grateful to Chancellor Merkel in Germany, whom we want the best success of”, said President Thaci.
