The United Education, Science and Culture Union, congratulating students and educators for the start of the new school year, has also appealed to MPs and leaders of political subjects to take care of their vocabulary in public presentations and social networks, as heavy and banal vocabulary is affecting the education of new generations as well.
The SBASK says that today when in all institutions of Kosovo's pre-university education, a new and full battle is under way for achieving new knowledge and the better education and education of generations is the moment when, along with wishes, a message of clear appeal should be sent to Kosovo's teachers, pupils, parents and leaders of political subjects of the local and central level and together to be in service of education and progress of the state of Kosovo.
Neither teacher, nor parent, nor student nor anyone else can become the winner alone in dealing with the challenges and demands of quality education and knowledge of the 21st century. The sacred education and education mission cannot be accomplished even by being criticised and offended without facts, but by joining the common front and with the common and sincere goal of achieving even greater achievements in the entire education system of Kosovo. The SBASK is running this public appeal, and this wish for a good school year is also directed to MPs and leaders of political subjects to take care of vocabulary in public presentations and social networks. Be careful even in their public conduct and in the Kosovo Parliament because, not a few of them, with the presentation and vocabulary that does not match the image of the chosen and the representative of the people, are creating a sense of a lack of a better future for the people of Kosovo and are affecting the heavy and banal vocabulary and even the education of new generations. Those in closed meetings let them behave as they wish is a matter of their culture, but in public presentations they should be careful because our people and our youth in particular have eyes on them”, said the SBASK communiqué.
According to them, the duty of the representatives of the people is to work in the service of citizens and education and other sectors, not to compete over who has the most offensive and more banal vocabulary.
