Kosovo Police Inspector (IPK) has arrested two suspects today, carrying out an operational plan regarding the case in consultation with the competent prosecutor.
The IPK had accepted information about allegations of involvement in criminal activities by the official police suspect (with the rank of lieutenant who had the position of Police Station Commander in Novoberda).
By authorisation of the prosecutor, IPK investigators have begun investigating this official on suspicion that the same has committed criminal acts Misuse of official position and authority and the exercise of prior influence with the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
During the investigation of this case, IPK investigators have collected evidence that confirmed accepted information, and that in this case two other citizens were involved.
Today (07.09.2017) in the early hours of the morning, IPK investigators have carried out an operational plan in the Gjilan region under which the ordinance issued by the Constitutional Court in Gjilan and three locations have been raided and some material evidence has been seized that will serve further criminal procedure.
At the State Prosecutor's decision, IPK investigators have arrested two suspects (police and one citizen) and the same have been assigned police detention measures for 48 hours until further judicial procedures continue.
Regarding the same case, as part of administrative and investigative procedures, The IPK has also recommended the suspension of the commander of this police station.
