Number of passengers on Pristina-Belgrade buses increases

Pristina bus line Belgrade again is in the spotlight. The images seem to resemble them in early 2015. On Wednesday evening, there was also Sali Aliaj, former partner from Mitrovica. With a few suitcases in his hands, his wife and two children told Radio Free Europe that [...]
On Wednesday evening, there was also Sali Aliaj, former partner from Mitrovica. With a few suitcases in his hands, together with his wife and two children, he told Radio Free Europe that he was driving Germany through Serbia.
No visas, no visas... God's hand, where we can go somewhere to work, that there's no perspective, no work, nothing. I'm going to go to the dock's intestine, unless I get to work and get my bread”, Alija said.
Representatives of agencies holding regular Kosovo-Serbia bus travel reports show that citizens' interest in travel to Belgrade has increased in recent days.
Pushcoli head of ticket sales at the news agency Adie Tours said the number of travelers towards Serbia has recently increased.
“I don't know where they're going, but these last two days is true that there's an influx from the bus station in Pristina. Mainly young people emerging”, Pushkoli said, adding that he does not know exactly what their travelers' last destination is.
This flow, I mean yesterday and Sunday [On Wednesday and Tuesday], because there wasn't any before. They're using our buses to Belgrade, then what they do I don't know”, Pushcol said.
However, official records speak of no mass departure, as it has been in the first months of 2015. At that world, Kosovo citizens used Serbia's Subotic City, which is located near the border with Hungary.
Every day from the bus station in Pristina to Belgrade, five buses on the regular line leave.
Official representatives of the bus station in Pristina dismiss claims that there is a flow of escape.
Shecir Abazi, the exchange co-ordinator, said that from the bus station currently operating regular lines and there are no demands for new lines.
There are no flows of people going abroad. We have five departures over the 24 hours operating in Pristina's direction, Belgrade. Of them, two morning and three afternoon meetings. Last night I worked the third shift. Forty tickets have been given, like every time given to the Pristina relief é Belgrade”, Abazi said.
Even at the Belgrade bus station management centre, they say there are no added bus numbers, except for the five regular lines that circulate in the Pristina delegation, Belgrade.
According to data from this center, in 2015 the number of buses on the line was driven from 10 to 12 a day.
There were more people than usual Wednesday evening, but some of them said they had come out of curiosity to see if there were any escapes.
Even law authorities have rejected claims of something like that.
Kosovo police have announced that “actions have been taken to verify information and based on the operational work of police officials and in co-operation with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, as well as other authorities, have been found not to be a case for any citizens' escort and there is no room for such concerns”. / REL.
