The chairman of the Movement for the Union and former diaspora minister, Valon Murati, has said Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj is clear that the current demarcation agreement with Montenegro should be sent to the Assembly to collapse.
Murati in a Facebook post has written that the current agreement with Montenegro should collapse in the Assembly to create judicial disputes with the neighbouring state.
The “demarcation with Montenegro will remain one of the political and social headlines in Kosovo until an adequate solution to this problem is found. Prime Minister Haradinaj had requested proposals and recommendations yesterday. I believe he too is clear that in the present situation only one is the way. The current agreement should be sent to the assembly as soon as possible, to collapse and thus create judicial dispute with Montenegro”, Murati has written.
There is grounds only after this step to be asked by Montenegro to renegotiate the agreement or submit this issue to international arbitration”, the LB chief has written, until he added that the creation of the new commission is a waste of time and no effect. The new commission's creation otherwise, not only is it a waste of time, but it does not produce any legal effect in relation to Montenegro. The longer the government is delayed with sending the agreement to the assembly, the more it will increase domestic political tensions and punish the country's citizens with procrastinating the visa liberalisation process”, Murati wrote.
