MPJ shows why Kosovo withdrew from Interpol application

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has indicated why Kosovo has decided to withdraw from the application for Interpol. The MPJ has said Interpol is going through the review of membership procedures and criteria, and according to them this session of the General Assembly is expected to have a major focus on internal reform. This institution also says that the next reason for this withdrawal is the fact that the host country of the Interpol General Assembly meeting has shown reluctance to allow the participation of the Kosovo delegation in this Assembly.
This is the MPJ's full announcement:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been and remains committed to full membership of the Republic of Kosovo in INTERPOL. In the framework of this common goal and in co-ordination with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Kosovo Police, we have been committed and committed to the highest responsibility and professionalism, so that Kosovo will have its rightful place in this important Organisation for our national security, but also that of neighbouring countries and the region.
Nevertheless, after a detailed assessment and analysis of our country's membership process in INTERPOL and internal dynamics within this organisation, we have estimated that it is in our best interest to postpone Kosovo's membership vote in INTERPOL for next year.
The first, INTERPOL is going through the review of membership procedures and criteria, so we have estimated, in co-ordination with Quinti countries, in particular with the US and Germany, that these criteria must be clarified before the Kosovo app is voted. This General Assembly session is expected to have domestic reform at its main focus.
The second, the host country of the INTERPOL General Assembly meeting, has demonstrated hesitations to allow the Kosovo delegation to participate in this Assembly and members of our delegation have not been able to provide visas. With this, the conditions had not been created, so that a vote for Kosovo would occur without the presence of our delegation.
The Foreign Ministry thanks all of Kosovo institutions, but also all partner states of our state, namely Quinti's countries, and simultaneously invites everyone, to work together at the next meeting so that Kosovo can be voted full-fledged members in Interpol.
