Meta, Haradinaj talk about dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia

Albania's president, Ilir Meta, hosted Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj today.

Meta congratulated Haradinaj on the establishment of the new Kosovo government, as well as on the important job as prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo.

President Meta expressed his commitment to close co-operation with Kosovo institutions, in interest of further boosting international recognitions, as well as strengthening European perspective

President Meta stressed the importance of further intensifying economic, trade, scientific, educational, tourist, cultural and all other forms between our two countries.

Meta welcomed the readiness of Prime Minister Haradinaj and Kosovo's new government for continuing dialogue with Serbia as a process without alternative and in the function of peace and stability in the region.

He stressed the importance of regional co-operation as a key element in promoting stability, security and peace throughout the region, stressing that the Berlin Process is a good opportunity to boost regional co-operation and accelerated our common European perspective.

Meta praised NATO's relations with Kosovo, as well as the importance of preserving a substantial presence of KFOR, for ensuring a safe environment not only in Kosovo, but throughout the region.
