Krasniqi criticises coalition parties, LDK, says more wants power than state

The head of the National Initiative Council for Kosovo, Jakup Krasniqi, says he is not interested in being part of the government cabinet, which is expected to be formed soon, which includes his party. He, in an interview for KosovoPress, says he will not be minister of education, as reported [...]
He, in an interview for Kosova Press, says he will not be the minister of education, as reported, and that in this political situation, he has no courage to take responsibility to be the leader of any government dictatorship.
Krasniqi says he has a political career and is at the end of it and that he does not want to take responsibility in a government for which he does not know what its destiny will be.
I'm aware that education really needs to have an approach maybe not just to the minister. Education in Kosovo needs to have another approach to all organised segments of our society. He's in no good shape, he's in trouble. But the political situation we are in does not give much space to take on such a responsibility. So we'll talk about this. I'm going to appoint the candidate, his member for the minister. But I personally am not interested in being part of the government cabinet... The political situation in Kosovo is very complicated, very difficult. And I personally have a long experience, I don't have the courage to take on such a responsibility. I have a political career and I am at the end of it and I would not want to take a responsibility, which I don't know what fate will possibly be of this government cabinet, which is having trouble consolidating”, Krasniqi said.
Jakup Krasniqi says the three largest political subjects in the country care about power rather than the state.
Kosovo's “political subjects, especially the three major political subjects that have emerged from elections, are more fond of power than the state and the functioning of state institutions. We have been delayed in establishing new institutions stemming from the June 11th elections. We are delaying and in the creation of the Government, the executive, who has the main responsibility in law and Constitution to govern the country. And perhaps this level of communication that has been established among the electoral political subjects has created these difficulties. And of course this situation creates numerous problems for the representative institution as well. But above all, it creates numerous problems for the executive”, Krasniqi said.
Commenting on the recently reached agreements between PAN and AKR, Krasniqi says that if there were political powers like the other two parties, who are in the coalition, he would choose another way and be willing to move on to the new elections, rather than make such calculations, which he calls unprincipleve and immoral.
According to him, the initiative has been and will continue to be correct in these processes, while saying politics should not have fallen to the market level.
“Politics should not fall to this level. Politics should have, three great electoral subjects, I mean PAN, LAA and VV have a controversial debate. Let them analyze all the circumstances. Tíi look at the interests of the country and its citizens and make decisions that are more reasonable. It would take political parties, these political subjects that have emerged from the elections to see more of the interest of state institutions than the power interest that would take one subject, or another political subject”, Krasniqi said.
Krasniqi has also commented on the actions of the LDK-AKR coalition and Alternative and Vetevendosje, which he sees as calculations with a accumulated anger, which he views as unreasonable. While you see obstacles from the LDK and the VV to the constitution unnecessary. He says both these parties have been insecure in their agreements and in numbers, so they have gone towards the deadlock.
I see all the calculations, with a pile of anger, that is unreasonable to me. That in politics the citizens of Kosovo have made the choice they made. They have chosen the first and third subjects, and these subjects have had to have without any obstacle constituted the Parliament, such as the representative body and lawmakers, the country's highest institution. There have been no need for these obstacles to the constitution. And after the constitution, time would start running. So without the constitution, time does not go forth. Two other political subjects who are willing to be in opposition, I consider that they have not been willing to go to the Parliament's dedication, because they have not been ready, had no agreement, had no joint government programme, to try and opportunity after the first time, the second time they have taken over the country's rule. It means they have been insecure in their agreements and have been insecure in numbers. So they have gone towards the deadlock and not towards opening the possibilities of establishing state institutions”, Krasniqi said.
According to him, Kosovo is actually in a political stalemate and that the delay in establishing institutions has created uncertainty about the lives of Kosovo citizens.
