The three accused -- men aged 21, 27, and 29 -- police have been under cover for some time, investigators have declared for Austrian media.
The 29-year-old was the head of the gang. He is a Bosnian citizen, unemployed, staying in Austria. The national affiliation of the other two does not give any information.
Crushed goods from one kilogram [one kilogram] had been brought to Oberösterreich (The Austrian Republic) and then split once again to sell in smaller amounts of up to a pound [half kg], broadcast albinfo.ch. Even those arrested had accepted this.
Police have managed to seize 13kg of cannabis, while the three persons arrested are considered to have already sold 27kg of this drug. The three suspects are being held in prison in Wels, and they have partially accepted the work they are assigned to do. Investigators have said the penalty for apprehending such a drug amount is up to 15 years in prison.
