Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri has suggested that the top priority during the ruling mandate would be to empower order and law. He has promised a strong fight against corruption and organised crime at all levels.

In this interview given to the newspaper “The new age”, Tahiri, has said that among the first steps to take as minister will be the proceeding of the Law on Confiscating Illegal Property, completion-reform in the Criminal Code, as well as the completion of the Penal Procedure Code, which, according to him, help fight corruption and organised crime.

Minister Tahiri has pledged that during his mandate there will be no selective justice and that, according to him, every citizen of Kosovo will enjoy the rights guaranteed by the Constitution.

“Take the first steps to take as justice minister will be to prosecute three important bills that help fight corruption and organised crime. The bill on confiscating illegal property, complementing the Penal Code, as well as completing-reform in the Criminal Procedure Code, so there are three laws that help fight corruption and organised crime”, the minister Tahiri has indicated.

He has said that the purpose and vision of this government is rule of law and order.

I am very convinced that I will have the support of my own party as well as other coalition partners. We will not stop fighting any negative phenomena, including crime and corruption”, Tahiri stressed.
