A shocking event is recorded about 8: 30 a.m. Sunday in the village of Blaca, Pogradec. A 49-year-old man has killed his wife by clucking his head off while learning he was suffering from depression. The author's own father has declared his son's health problems, claiming that the serious event would have been avoided if he had been admitted and treated in hospital for mental health problems he had had for years. 49-year-old Bashkim Mekoli has killed his wife, Demirka Mekoli, 49 years old in the backyard. After fighting with each other, for reasons not yet known, the man has grabbed a billet and a knife in his hand and followed the woman as soon as she has descended the steps of the house to go into the courtyard.

It was a relative of the author who saw the crime scene and signaled other people while the author himself wanted police to be informed of the crime he committed. 49-year-old Necdet Mekoli's father has shown that his son was suffering from depression and that the event could have been prevented, while the couple's life is described as extremely difficult as being in financial terms and continuing disputes as a result of their son's severe psychological state. He has considered the event an opportunity to be prevented by removing any doubts about the son's bride, leaving his son's mental problems alone. According to him, the victim was from a Lusha village and at first everything was good for the couple, but in a short time, disputes began, which continued until she was killed.

They were parents of a single son, currently 16 years old, as the family faced constant poverty and the only means of living was the economic aid they received. D y months earlier, the Union had also sought medical assistance because of its growing psychological state and had been diagnosed with depression. Right away he's started using medication to treat himself, but despite this treatment, he hasn't worked and he's been through killing his wife. Their 16-year-old son is in Italy with relatives of his mother who had found only a chance to get him out of this situation from continuing school in the neighbouring state. For several months, the Union and Demirka had authorized the victim's sister through a procurement to take her son to Italy and to continue living there while planning to eventually take the path of immigration.

 The Father of the Killer

All the errors of this serious event are with the Union, who suffered from psychiatric problems. That's what the author suspected of killing his wife was saying. Events that could have been prevented have further added 74-year-old if the Union were treated in hospital conditions.

How did this happen?

I had been in the village since morning, and I left my son and daughter - in - law at home. My niece came and told me come quickly that the Union killed Demirka. When I came here, I saw the boy with a knife and a billet in his hand and the bride was lying there in the pick. It was on a pool of blood. My son has been fighting the bride all his life. He was depressed, and he constantly caused trouble, arguing over nothing. The bride was good and orderly but my son was sick and we had what we could do. He was very aggressive, violent, and just argued, for years the situation has been.

You lived in the same apartment as the son and the bride?

My wife died 14 years ago, and I lived alone. One year I had opened the door to their house to stay on the street. Initially, they lived in an old house on the outskirts of the village, but the Union sold it as old and could not fix it. He didn't even ask where he was going with a woman and a boy, he did. However, I opened the door to leave them on the street. I told you here's a room and do whatever you want. I spent most of my day in the village as a pensioner, met my friends, and spent time. I've been hearing me arguing about nothing, but I didn't interfere, I saw my job.

What kind of income did they live on?

With economic aid they lived! They took over 3,000 dollars. That was not enough money, but I gave them my pension.

Was your son treated?

Two months ago she went to the doctor and was told that she had been depressed. At the recommendation of the village doctor, he went to Tirana and visited him with a diagnosis. He wanted to be hospitalized, but he had no insurance and no health card, and he could not be admitted. They gave him the prescription and returned home. He also took medication for his illness and drank it.

He had alcohol consumption?

He has also consumed alcoholic beverages before the treatment began, but since the day he has begun taking medication, he has not been seen consuming alcohol.

You've been living with his son and daughter-in-law for a year. What did you see went wrong with them?

Under conditions when after the sale of their apartment, I offered them a room in my house. But I have to say, it's not like I talked to them. I didn't talk because the boy was violent with me. He wouldn't listen to me. All I know is that they used to fight together a lot. It was always the Union's fault, perhaps even the rising mental state.

The Father Faces His Son

I came home right away and I saw her here in the yard. In one hand, he wore a beaker and a knife in the other. The bride was dead. The police also came because they had informed their grandson's bride. She had happened by chance and wanted to say hello when she saw what the Union had done. He himself told him to call the police that I killed him. After she called the police, she called me. I was with my brother at the time when she quickly told me that the Union killed the bride. As soon as I entered the courtyard, what I saw; the bride lying on her blood. I said: That's how you did it, son, but then the police would take him. And when she was buried in Lushnje, she told me, in her people, not here, this is”, that's all the cops took. He never told me anything. Only those two know how it happened, why they argued, why they got caught. There was no one else in the house!
