Haradinaj has called Vuciq's move to open domestic dialogue about Kosovo a wise step. He has stressed that the issue of the Association of Serb-run municipalities would be resolved in accordance with the Kosovo Constitution.
Haradinaj has said he will focus on improving life for all Kosovo citizens, returning confidence in institutions and among peoples.
The “as far as the Association of Serbian municipalities is concerned, everything that is in accordance with the Constitution of Kosovo and the Constitutional Court decision will be realised. Even under the Kosovo Constitution, which includes the Ahtisaari Plan, the association of Serb majority municipalities is provided. Kosovo's Constitutional Court, however, has rejected a part of the Brussels Agreement dealing with the Association of Serbian municipalities” has said Haradinaj.
He has told Serbian television that he has not yet dealt with this topic.
This is something the former Kosovo prime minister signed in Brussels, but the Constitutional Court has rejected. I don't have the capacity to work outside the Constitution. Kosovo has not signed anything in Brussels with the aim of not implementing it, but the controversy is not made by politics, but by the Constitutional Court”, he has said.
Haradinaj has also spoken of his commitment to the KLA, saying he is not ashamed of that period.
The war in Kosovo has been a tragic period. I was a warrior with a gun in my hand and I'm not ashamed of it. The chief prosecutor of The Hague has been following me for nine years. You know the results. We have answered questions about the war at The Hague, UNMIK and EULEX. This Court (Special) will be fourth in row” has said Haradinaj.
He has said that serious crimes like those of the 14 Serb in Staro Grackom, killing children in Gorazdec, throwing the bus into the air at Podujevo, killing in Obiliki are a disgrace to Kosovo and the international community.
He has said it is important between the parties to have respect.
“Respect is important and if Belgrade respects Kosovo, I am willing to respect Belgrade and Serbia and all the values of the Serbian people. But what is reality is the Republic of Kosovo” has said Haradinaj.
Serbian media have also called on Haradinaj to comment on Western sanctions against Russia because of the Crimea.
I don't do international politics. The president and foreign minister have more time for this” has said Haradinaj.
