Ghrani Geci before Ruzhdzi Shaqiri murder court

The Appeals Court will consider defence and prosecutorial complaints tomorrow in the case of former Genie Geci, sentenced to four and a half years in prison for the murder of Ruzhdi Shaqiri in Skenderaj. The brother of former Genie Geci, Halili, has asked politics not to intervene in justice.

He says the Geci family knows all the actions of their opponents since the war.

EULEX's prosecutor, in January of this year by the Court of Appeals, has sought to classify Rugi Shaqiri's murder. For this murder committed on 4 August 2014, the Constitutional Court of Mitrovica, in June last year has sentenced former LDK delegation in the Kosovo Assembly to 4 years and 6 months in prison.

And protecting the latter, but in January of this year, in their complaint to Appeal in the case, has claimed that the case has nothing to do with criminal acts, but with necessary protection, writes the newspaper Express.

These two opposing defence and prosecution claims that the international mission in Kosovo EULEX will face the Court of Appeals eight months after complaints were filed.

Apel has scheduled September 26th 2017 to review these complaints at a session.

The college session for this case is scheduled to be held with 26.09.2017x1>, a spokesman at the Appeals Court confirmed on Tuesday for Gazette Express, Arber Jashari.

Ruzhdi Shaqiri's murder had occurred on August 4th 2014 at a bar in Skenderaj. Shots at the locals were heard right after the Shaqiri victims and convicted Gashi Geci had run into each other.

Halit Geci, through a Facebook text, requires that politics not intervene in justice tomorrow and that he does not seek mercy for his brother, but fair judgment.
