Financial Agreement Signed for Anti-Corruption Efforts

The signing of the agreement also marks a period of co-operation with the Swiss Office for Development and Co-operation, following the successful implementation of the UNDP Anti-Corruption Project completed in May 2017.
In this case, Patrick Etienne, head of the Swiss Office for Co-operation and Development, said the “corruption fight should be a priority for the Government of Kosovo and should be treated more seriously and systematically by all relevant authorities. As part of the co-operation strategy, Switzerland is a valuable contributor to Kosovo's development efforts. However, all acts must make sure that corruption does not undermine the country's development prospects “.

Project The UNDP for Support of Anti-Corruption Efforts in Kosovo (SAEK II) will support Kosovo's institutions and civil society in preventing and fighting corruption, thanks to the Swiss Office for Development and Co-operation and DANIDA's donations to the Development and Co-operation Department of Denmark. The project will be active by 2020.
