The level of smuggling or attempted smuggling has dropped in the country's north. Since the number of cases detected for smuggling has reached up to 500 cases over the past six months of this year is 40.

Kosovo Customs spokesman Adriatk Stavileci has said lowering smuggling cases is a good indicator that cases of attempted smuggling have suffered a decline.

The inflow of 1m euros is justifying Stavileci in an interview for Online Economics.

Stavileci has said that smuggling cases have occurred as a consequence of political problems in that part and as a result of the citizens' disobedience of that part to the Kosovo part.

But he says confident that these two customs points work like other points across the country.

“We cannot deny that there was no smuggling, but smuggling has not resulted from Dogan's non-employment, but has come as a result of the citizens' disobedience that had that part to the part of Kosovo”, he said.

I can tell you with certainty that at two points north of Jarina and Brnjak, Dogan operates as at all other points, despite the political problems he has in that part and different problems yet we still have managed to stabilise the situation, there can already be no difference in the sequence of goods, which is done in Vermica, Han of Elez or in Jarinje or Brnjak<1>.

But according to Dogan's spokesman, the value of exports of local products has increased to the first 8 months of this year, respectively, the value of goods exported from Kosovo to European Union countries <x0m euros.
