Rescue teams have admitted not knowing how many people in Florida were killed by Hurricane Irma amid fears of a humanitarian crisis.
As many as 10,000 people are believed to have stayed in Florida Keys during the storm and now have no water, food or energy, officials have warned.
Irma has left nearly 4.5 million people without electricity and caused five deaths after the devastating storm reached the southern state, with strong winds and the threat of devastating storms.
Irma weakened into a category 1 storm after striking the vulnerable area of Tampa Bay with strong winds earlier this morning. The National Centre of Urans predicts the storm will pass on Monday to Georgia in the southwest, where a storm warning was in force for a large rural area including Albany and Waldosta.
The deadly storm had hit Fort Myers and Naples earlier after he had crossed ashore for the second time in Marco Island. The National Urangan Centre said that water levels in Naples rose to 2m, in only 90 minutes.
