Pristina needs a real manager in order to make it the capital, not just the city.

This is the main reason why Shyqiri Bytyqi from the Kosovo Initiative has taken the race for the first of Pristina, even though that day earlier was appointed Minister of Education, Science and Technology.

According to Bytyqi, past governments have not taken on great things to truly do Pristina capital, but with things that each other could have.

I consider that our capital needs a real manager in order to make Pristina the capital, not just the city. Pristina needs to be the capital as well and so far from past governments, we can say that more are concerned with things that each small town can have, but not like the city of Pristina or a capital. This is an important moment that governance needs to change in Pristina, it needs a practical governance, a Western government that will be vulnerable to citizens in Pristina, they will feel every day of our government, and that was probably the main reason that I willingly joined this race and I believe it will be an interesting” race, he said.

In an interview for Kosova Prees, Bytyqi has stated that his professional experience, his managerial and professional commitments are the ones that distinguish him from other candidates for mayor of the capital.

According to Pristina contender Shyqi Bytyqi, his programme to govern with Pristina is a pragmatic, tangible and feasible programme.

The lost “Time needs to be compensated”, so it is called the first part of the programme, which will have largely to do with the daily problems of Pristina governance, which unfortunately had to be completed. Citizens have had to be familiar with these issues, but unfortunately they haven't finished and we have been forced to compensate for this time for which it wasn't supposed to be part of the government in Pristina now. Here I'm talking about from the daily parking things that today have trouble in the city of Pristina, a small piece of greenery that Pristina citizens don't enjoy properly. Then, we have the education issue as a problem which will be a very large part of the space of the first part of our” programme, Bytyqi stressed.

While he says the strongest point of his government will be to rule for citizens.

Likewise, Bytyqi has said he will not come to Pristina government to make major policies, or make party politics, but will come to power to be good manager for Pristina.

And how the impasse in the rule of Shpend Ahmeti in Pristina sees the big reflection of Ahmeti's party, which says it has begun dealing with daily politics and party politics.

We generally meet at Mr. Ahmeti the start of the municipal government has been a very productive start, and I have hoped very much as a Pristina citizen that will have good governance. But unfortunately, this hasn't lasted long, it only lasted until Mr. Ahmeti has really governed himself and had ideas for good Pristina governance. Later there were major reflections of Mr. Ahmeti, who has begun dealing with daily politics, party politics, and what seems to have hampered the least. He has also done good things, but he has not done something that can be remembered very much, is expressed by Bytyqi.

The contender for the post of head of the capital expressed confidence that the perpetrators will know to vote for a good manager for the capital. /M. Duraku.
