The chairman of this commission, Speed Bulqi, has said that once it is a political issue and that it is awaiting its election from higher institutions.
Bulliqi, in a proposal for Indexline, has said very briefly that you don't know when the commission's work of demarcing the demarcation will start.
I don't know when the work will start. Once we've got something new, we'll call the general audience. But there's nothing new at the moment, he said.
As for yesterday's statements by Montenegrin Foreign Minister Srdjan Darnovoi, who said that for his country the topic of demarcation is closed, Bulqi has not commented on this, saying this is a purely political issue and that there is nothing more to add.
Meanwhile on the other side, Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj has stressed that the Kosovo border demarcation agreement with Montenegro will be ratified in March.
He made those statements in an interview for an Austrian daily, talking about the time when this issue will come up before Kosovo deputies.
Hoxhaj for the Vietnamese newspaper “Weiner Zeitung”, has said Kosovo has made a commission to deal with the issue.
The “Commission must produce a report and bring an accurate assessment of the situation. Then we have to make a decision. If something is complicated, it is not the policy's duty to complicate it further”, he added.
According to him, the past government has failed to pass the deal because it collapsed.
