Only from January until the end of August this year in traffic accidents have 84 people lost their lives, until 71 people have died in the same period of the year as a result of road accidents.
According to Kosovo Police data, the total number of accidents during these months has totaled 12,017, with almost the same number of accidents in 2016, with 12776 accidents. Contacted by the Journal “Voice”, Kosovo Police officials say it is extremely disturbing that I continued the number of accidents with fatal consequences.
On the other hand, communications connoisseurs say that there are some factors that are affecting the large number of accidents. According to Communications Professor Musli Bajraktari, security in recent communications is very dangerous.
According to him, disrespecting communications laws is one of the main causes of accident causing.
“The security in communications has recently been greatly endangered, and there are several factors for that. The first is the subjective factor, the driver himself, since they are not keeping to the rules, especially during the summer season. The second is the country's police, as measures that are envisioned by laws must be implemented, in a way affecting reduced accidents. The third is the vehicle factor, because from our country a very large number of vehicles exceed their age, so they're quite outdated, but with the law that we hope this will also limit in the years of the” vehicle, Bayraktari told the newspaper. “Voice”.
