The maximum speed of Fuxing bullet trains or “restoration” registered 300kmmh in 2011, following two clashes that killed 40 people.
By next week, most of these trains will again be allowed to move at a higher rate, about 350kmmh.
Maximum speed will cut travel time between Beijing and Shanghai for an hour.
By September 21st, seven of China's lead trains will be allowed to travel at maximum speed.
All these trains are equipped with improved monitoring systems that will slow down and stop trains automatically in case of emergency.
