Prime Minister Edi Rama has held a meeting with Albania's ambassadors in the world in foreign ministry environments, where economic diplomacy has been focused.
Prime Minister Rama in his address said that “I have requested this special meeting as I want to discuss a topic of particular importance and neglect during the transition period, such as the role of foreign service in the economy”.
I can only do the opening of a certain chat party today. Of course, the responsibility of the foreign service falls on many factors and many actors. There will have to be a serious analysis. The country's economy is an area which the Foreign Ministry cannot consider outside the field”, Rama said.
Rama added that our “Diplomacy will do that part of its work to protect national interests, but that is not enough because we cannot understand foreign service in the situation as with the regime's past. We need creativity and pragmatism for a thousand and a reason. You are called the Eminence, and it is an honor to ascend to this height. Are you at the same height because you have to shine in what you do in the service of your country”.
“Right after announcing the new government's mandate, I will ask the new minister for a three-day meeting for the role diplomacy should take on the country”, Rama said.
Rama stressed that “The government will also receive a state minister for Albanians abroad, because the Albanian relationship in the region requires greater attention. The Albanian world outside the country has also taken on new size”
