QNR Begins Preparations for Municipal Elections

After working out for the June 11th extraordinary elections, preparations for the October 22nd municipal elections have begun at the Counting and Results Centre.

The Co-ordinator of the Counting and Results Centre (QNR), Burim Ahmetaj, has said that preparations for municipal elections are under way, which will be held on October 22nd.

The work process at the Centre for Counting and Results has been completed at the moment when the results were certified on July 8, 2017, so the whole process has been completed and closed and then we have started with the process of preparation for local elections, so the process is only complete with early parliamentary elections and we are now under way, preparing for the process of working for the local elections”, Ahmetaj said.

He has explained the process of work being done within the CNR.

The “actually needs to fix the object, the spaces within the QNR, should be developed the training of the non-perpermental staff that will work, so there are procedures, it's planning, budgets, purchases that mean all preparations in terms of preparation for local elections”, adding that particular importance is paid to the staff training process working in this centre.

We're paying special attention to election mornings, staff training that will take place at various sessions where the staff of the counting centre and results will be trained and staff that will make the transmission of preliminary results so that staff K vote, so all these training will take place within the object of the Counting and Results Centre, which will then begin with the election afternoon process”.

As far as the ballots are concerned, Ahmetaj has said that design, quality and quality of balloting should be approved by the Central Election Commission (KQZ).
