North Korea has thrown several shells into the sea, issued by the Gangwon province on its eastern coast.
It was announced by South Korean authorities, who said one of the missiles flew about 250km.
Since the launch of an intercstrian ballistic weapon last month, Peniani has threatened to send missiles to Guamu's territory in the US Pacific, but according to the American Army, this test did not threaten the US and Guam.
The U.S. Army reported that three missiles were launched, about 6:49 Saturday, while two failed in flight and only one managed to fly about 250km until the blast.
“Army is keeping close surveillance of the North to face further provocations”, the South Korean Defence Ministry said.
Meanwhile, thousands of American and South Korean troops are currently taking part in joint military exercises, which are mainly simulated computer exercises
